# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • They're crispy and golden without the guilt of deep frying, yet taste exactly like you spent hours in the kitchen.
  • 24 bites means you can eat three guilt-free and still have enough for everyone to come back for more.
  • The prep is honestly meditative—rolling these feels like therapy with a reward at the end.
02 -
  • Don't skip the second oil spray before the final fry—it's the difference between 'good' and 'why do these taste like they came from a restaurant'.
  • Lumpia wrappers dry out fast once a pack is open, so work quickly or cover the unused ones with a damp kitchen towel to keep them pliable.
  • Air fryer temperatures vary between models, so if yours tends to run hot, start checking at the 6-minute mark on the first side.
03 -
  • Make the filling the night before and refrigerate it; cold filling is easier to work with and less likely to tear the wrapper.
  • If you're meal prepping, assemble and freeze the unbaked lumpia bites on a tray, then air fry directly from frozen, adding just 2-3 minutes to the cooking time.
