Express Holiday Spinach Dip (Print)

Creamy spinach blend baked inside sourdough bowl, ideal for festive gatherings and quick prep.

# Components:

→ Bread

01 - 1 large round sourdough loaf (about 1.1 lbs)

→ Spinach Dip

02 - 10 oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
03 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
04 - 1/2 cup sour cream
05 - 1/2 cup mayonnaise
06 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
07 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
08 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
09 - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
10 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
11 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

→ Garnish & Dippers

12 - 1 red bell pepper, diced (optional)
13 - Sourdough bread pieces (from reserved loaf center) or assorted crackers and fresh vegetables

# Directions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F.
02 - Slice off the top of the sourdough loaf and carefully hollow out the center, leaving about 1 inch of bread around the edges to create a bowl. Reserve the removed bread pieces for dipping.
03 - In a large bowl, combine the thawed spinach, softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, mozzarella, Parmesan, minced garlic, ground nutmeg, salt, and black pepper until evenly mixed.
04 - Spoon the prepared spinach mixture into the hollowed bread bowl. Optionally, sprinkle the diced red bell pepper on top for color.
05 - Place the filled bread bowl on a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and bubbly and the bread edges are lightly crisp.
06 - Serve immediately with reserved bread pieces, crackers, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
